Chapter 02 –The Return

Back to the present.
“So Ryuu, where did you get that bruise?” My fake aunt, Miss Masami, asked me worriedly.
“There is no need to fret over something small as this.” Thus, I replied.
“Are you trying to dodge the question?”
Faced with her interrogation, I could only tell her the truth.
“I’m not paying attention while I was walking, leading to me falling off the stairs.”
But it is, in fact, a lie.
Masami seems to not believe that outrageous story, I mean, I too would not believe if someone told this to me. These bruises, at one glance, one can tell that it is caused by fists.
But nevertheless, Masami won’t dive too deep into his business, sigh and said: “Ohh, just be careful next time.”
Next time? Haha, those guys, will beat me again next time, it’s better for me not going to class tomorrow.
But, in order to survive, I still need to lie to Masami again.
“I said you don’t have to worry, it’s just some minor accident. It’s not like it’s an everyday occurrence.” Thus, I said flatly. I’m getting more and more used to lying. If someone doesn’t know me that well, they’ll be easily convinced of my lie.
“Haaah, alright, go back to your room and study.”
But clearly, Masami doesn’t buy my excuse.
Damn, this evil woman. I was forced to study again, even though I already planned not going to school again, and live in seclusion for the rest of my life. Ever since that day, 3 years ago, I was forced to go back and finish high school even though I already did not attend classes for a month, but that woman, clearly pulled some strings. I know she’s rich, and maybe influential, but I don’t know to what extent. In any case, the school gave the reason that I was sick and traumatize due to my parents death. Trauma? The f*ck is trauma?! I only stopped going to school, because the cause of my motivation, was gone.
When I came back from the dead, or what my classmates refer to me as. They were shocked, well, who wouldn’t be? Missing in class for a month, then suddenly showing up, only eccentric people wouldn’t be shock. They gave me awkward stares, but I just ignored that. Though, the females seems work up more than usual, I also ignored that. I know what they’re worked up with, I know my own value, I know that I’m handsome, I know that I’m popular with the girls, I know –– alright, let’s stop bragging, but seriously, I’m really handsome.
Haaah, it’s so troublesome being so handsome, surrounded by girls, while being glared at by the guys, if stares can kill, I would have died a hundred times. With these everyday life, I successfully graduated from high school. I was so happy that now I’m free, but then again, Masami, forced me to go to college, man this woman is really a pain, but since the one who ask it is a beauty, I can’t just flatly deny her, can I? And here I am now, a 1st year college student, in here, I am also popular. Ironically, because of that popularity, I was targeted by the guys. Even though I just want a peace school life, even though I was just conversing normally with the girls, those guys misunderstood it as me flirting with the girls. F*ck! You’re just f*cking jealous of me, you b*tches! With these reasons, and the fact that I’m not well-off, the b*tches resorted to bullying, resulting to my current bruises.
They say not to stay near the girls again, is that even possible? I wonder what those guys’ brains made up. Just because they know a little martial art, they act cockily in front of me, just you wait. I’ll train some good martial arts, and get back at you! Well, that thought is for another time. What I need to do right now is to sleep, haha! I’ll be cutting off classes tomorrow.
I set up the alarm for 9 am in my phone and went to bed.
But really, thank goodness that Miss Masami and I doesn’t live together, otherwise, even at home, I won’t have a peaceful day. With these thoughts in mind, I drowsily close my eyes.

*Ring ring ring –– the sound of alarm can be heard. Ryuu, lazily lying on the bed, lazily picked up his phone, and weakly said: “Just 5 more minutes.” And went back to sleep.
Five minutes later, to be more precise, 1 hour and 23 minutes, Ryuu slowly opened his eyes, and look at the time at his phone. Immediately, after glancing at the time, he immediately sat up from the bed, like given some stimulants, shouted: “Holy f*ck, that’s not even 5 minutes!”
He loudly cursed, but suddenly realizing how being stupid he was.
“Ah –– ahahaha, I forgot that today, I was planning on cutting off classes, I’ll only attend the afternoon classes.”
Looking at his comical self, he stood up from the bed, and went to the bathroom to take a bath.
After taking a bath, he changed his clothes, and went downstairs.
At the table, he saw, a homemade breakfast.
“Tsk, that woman, does she always plan on making my breakfast?”
Isn’t it inconvenient for her to come here early, just to make my breakfast? Hmmm, maybe she was just struck by my handsomeness, yup that should be it.
I hurriedly got to a seat, and started eating Masami’s cooking, seriously, Masami’s cooking skills is really good, even though it’s just some simple breakfast, it still can’t hide her culinary skills. A beacon, an egg, and a vegetable, a good combination for breakfast.
After eating breakfast, I got out of the house and started strolling the streets.
“I wonder what place is good to kill some time. Hmm, a traditional way would be either going to the arcade or go to a net café, but given my financial circumstances, I can’t possibly be wasting my money on those superficial things, besides, if I wanted to go to an internet café, why not just go back home and use my PC there?”
Ever since his “aunt” started taking care of him, she also improves his living conditions, she’s the one paying for his school fees, the house bills, and even got him a brand new PC with a high end specs, and a laptop that is also high end, tsk tsk, now he can’t even use some illegal way of accessing the internet like before, saying that it’s not proper. He rebuke her by saying that what’s the use of paying if you can get it free? But, that rebuttal just pass her ears from one end to the other.
“Ugh, where is this place? I’ve been lost in my thought that I was wondering without any destination in mind, and ultimately got lost, *sigh* me.”
While reprimanding himself for his carelessness, bringing himself into an alleyway, suddenly in front of him, can be seen a magic circle, it takes up the whole width of the alleyway, about 2 meters. This familiar magic circle can be found on some novels, manga, anime, etc.
“Hah, is it the work of some otaku? Vandalizing is not really good, you know? Even for a fellow otaku. But still, this design is so detailed, look at this strangeness, and this complexity, it looks like printed directly onto the ground. Hmm, the one who draw this must have some godly skills.”
Thinking so, he walk slowly towards the center of the magic circle, glance around his surroundings and laughed: “Ku ku ku, behold! Ye mortals, I am a being from another world. Kurosaki Ryuu, the Black Dragon! I have come to conquer your world, wahahaha!”
After laughing for a while, the magic circle suddenly shone a dazzlingly bright light, causing him to shield his eyes, wrapped intensely around his body. After a while, when the bright light faded, he slowly opened his eyes and muttered: “What the heck was that?”
Suddenly, he realize that the place he’s currently at is not the same alleyway from before, he glanced at his surroundings, when a shadow passed over. That shadow indicated that the owner of it is on from above. Looking up, what he saw made him dumbfounded –– a dragon, he thought his eyes are not working properly and rubbed them. Again, what he saw was a dragon flying through the skies. Cold beads started to drip down all over his body. Moments later he realize, that his line of sight is higher than usual, he looked down onto his own body, what he saw was a jet black body, covered in a pitch black jade like glass, a scale! He thought. He expand his arms, only to found a 30 meters wingspan. Ha ha, you got to be shittin me, I really became a dragon, a Black Dragon!
“Where is this place? How did I end up here?”
Saying so, he suddenly felt an intense pain on his mind, like splitting up his skull.
“Agh! What is this! Is this my abilities as a dragon? Regeneration, teleportation, morphing, there’s too many! –– huh? Morphing? I can actually morph?”
Seeing that he can transform to another form, he immediately morph into his human self.
Looking at his body that became human again, made him sigh in relief.
“Let’s see, during at times like this, it’s better to calmed down, and analyzed things first.”

“Even though it’s ridiculous, and my circumstances can only be found in stories. This looks like real, not some random dream.”
“Looks like that magic circle, connects Earth to this place, and stepping onto the center of it, activated it.”
“Is that the gist of it? What I don’t understand is, how did I became a dragon? Is it my counter-part here in this world? Ha-ha, no way.”
“Anyways, I need to find that magic circle to go back to Earth, in order to do that, I need to survive, in order to survive, I need more information. Thankfully, my abilities as a dragon, makes it easy to escape when encountering unknown dangers.”
And with that decided, I roam around the world, I later knew that this world is called, Lafin.
I roamed for about a hundred years looking for a way to go back home.
Finally, all my hard work have paid off. I finally found that magic circle, with that magic circle found, I can return.
I wonder how much Earth have changed in a hundred years. Ahh, Miss Masami, she should have already died, right? If not, she’d be too old now, but me, I’m still as young and handsome!

I’ll be returning not as Kurosaki Ryuu, the Handsome Human, but as Kurosaki Ryuu, the Handsome Black Dragon!
